This page lists the largest stadium for each state. You can view the information in two ways:

In several cases we have seen that there are small variations in stadium capacity, particularly when a stadium is used for diffeent purposes, for example a concert versus a football game. For this list, we use the capacity numbers quoted by the main tenant of the stadium. In many cases, this would be the atheletic deparment of the college football team that plays in the stadium, and in other cases it could be the local government agency.
